The ControlSphere Parameter and Persistence Service Library (CPP) provides an optimized means to store and retrieve variable values to and from well-formatted, human-readable data files. CODESYS KNX consists of a configurator for I/O channels, a KNXnet/IP protocol stack in the form of a runtime system component, and a data exchange function with the ETS5 configuration system. This allows any CODESYS-compatible device to be expanded to function as a KNX subscriber and to communicate with KNX I/Os.

The application-based CODESYS Control Standard M license is specially designed for applications with an Ethernet-based fieldbus instance. It contains 1024 I/O channels and supports an application size of up to 5 MB and can be used on all Control SL products without restrictions.

The application-based CODESYS Control Basic S license is specially designed for the smallest applications with up to 64 I/O channels and an application size of up to 512 kB and can be used on all Control SL products without restrictions.

The bus is configured from within the CODESYS Development System. Device configured in this way exchange real-time Ethernet messages with connected EtherNet/IP adapters.

The CODESYS EtherNet/IP Adapter is an add-on for CODESYS compatible PLCs. By means of standard Ethernet ports, these devices are converted into EtherNet/IP adapters. The bus is configured directly from within the CODESYS Development System. Devices that are configured in this way exchange Ethernet messages with interconnected EtherNet/IP scanners.
