The CODESYS EtherNet/IP Adapter is an add-on for CODESYS compatible PLCs. By means of standard Ethernet ports, these devices are converted into EtherNet/IP adapters. The bus is configured directly from within the CODESYS Development System. Devices that are configured in this way exchange Ethernet messages with interconnected EtherNet/IP scanners.

CODESYS EtherNet/IP Scanner is an additional option for controllers that are compatible with CODESYS. These devices are based on standard Ethernet ports to become EtherNet/IP scanners. The bus is configured from within the CODESYS Development System. Device configured in this way exchange real-time Ethernet messages with connected EtherNet/IP adapters.

CODESYS Connectivity Redundancy is a license that unlocks functions in other product parts. These are functionalities that enable redundant communication between the controller and other devices. Communication redundancy ensures that communication can continue via the second path if one connection fails. This feature can be used independently of the CODESYS Redundancy with only a single controller.
