Legaat is a conversion utility used to automate the process of converting from various PLC’s to CODESYS. With this release it is concentrating on the three main PLC families within the Rockwell Automation world. Which includes PLC5, SLC500 / MicroLogix and Control / Compact Logix.
The process to which Legaat performs this is via its simple interface, you tell it the file to convert and select the version of CODESYS you would like to use.
We strongly suggest installing this on a Windows 11 machine and using at least CODESYS 3.5.21.0.
There will be some anomalies and like many conversion packages will need some work after the conversion engine has finished. Things like I/O mapping, and any communications instructions etc. These are listed in the help file.
Practically this software converts 80% of the code and will need the user to resolve the remaining 20%. Its aim is to remove the monotonous keystrokes and speed up the conversion process.
When you purchase a package, download the software and install it. Launch the software and allow any updates. Then select request license, which emails us a code from your computer. We will review and once we have the purchase confirmation from the CODESYS webstore we will generate a key code file and send it back to you. Save this file somewhere on your computer then select install license and point to that file.
