Communication according to the IEC 61850 protocol can be easily parameterized using the configuratior integrated in CODESYS.
The Telecontrol package allows to use the CODESYS PLC as IEC61850 Client and can be conveniently parameterized with the configurator integrated in CODESYS.
The configurator sets up the reading of IEC 61850 object data from protection devices, for example. If the configuration of the third-party device is available in IEC 61850 SCL exchange format, it can be read in using the configurator's import functions. Alternatively, it is also possible to read the configuration from the third-party device using the configurator's online browsing function.

Licensing |
Single Device License: The license can be used on the target device/PLC on which the CODESYS Runtime System SL is installed. Licenses are activated on a software-based license container (soft container), which is permanently connected to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS Key (USB-Dongle). By replugging the CODESYS Key, the license can be used on any other controller. |
